It's my first time dining here. When I arrived, the signboard kind of startled me because it looked faded, which made me hesitate for a moment. We ordered pork collar, burger and cream brulee. I was genuinely surprised by the food, it actually tasted better than some of the more expensive cafés. However, the burger patty was a bit too salty for my taste; it would’ve been better if it were milder. The desserts were also delicious. What’s worth highlighting is that the hand-brewed coffee was excellent. Here’s a little suggestion: I believe if the shop could put up a new signboard, it would attract even more customers!

Look, everyone loves a nice neighbourhood cafe that's near enough for folks living around to enjoy a cuppa and a good meal, but not really prominent or groundbreaking enough to recommend people going out of their way to try. La Fin fits this description perfectly. Tucked in a quiet shoplot in Taman Maju Rapat, La Fin serves delectable western fare and boutique coffee, presented with minimalist flair. The decor and furnishing sits excellently with me, the monochrome tables and chairs paired with soft lighting exudes calm and elegance. In the background, a Harmon/Kardon Aura speaker blares out a tasteful Spotify playlist... I could spend hours here. The menu is actually quite expansive, with dedicated sections for brunch, appetisers, pasta/risotto, burgers, mains and dessert... And I would be remiss not to mention the extensive coffee menu that ranges from basic to experimental. Must-tries that I recommend are the seafood pasta, pork collar, pumpkin soup, pork burger and steak if you're feeling fancy. In my few visits here, the pastas are consistently good. They're always cooked al-dente and sauces are on point. Portions are filling especially the main courses, and you won't have food envy because every dish is well-presented. The only dish I have reservations for is the duck in chocolate sauce, supposedly well-liked in France but to me it tasted exactly as it sounds! Coffees are whimsical and utterly addictive. I've tried the mojito coffee, orange espresso, espresso soda among others and they never fail to amaze me. Certainly beats the usual Americanos and lattes served everywhere. You'd be satisfied even if you came just for the coffee. So for a relaxed and delicious meal, La Fin gets my recommendation, no question. Not the best in everything, but holding its own rather solidly. I wish my neighbourhood had this cafe.

The pasta was delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. However, the pork chop was a bit tough, possibly due to the thickness of the meat or it being overcooked. The lava cake was a delightful treat, rich and gooey. The chicken chop, however, was the real standout of the meal—well-seasoned and cooked just right. I look forward to returning and trying more dishes!

Visited this little hidden gem near the airport for mum's birthday. Tried the avocado salad doused in lemon vinaigrette, very refreshing, mushroom soup was thick n flavorful paired with the soft and buttery croissant, comforting. The duck comfit in orange sauce was delicious with the ever so light n fluffy whipped potato that tasted like savory ice cream, and the poached pear in red wine with a hint of cinnamon and chocolate ice cream n almond flakes brings a satisfying end to our happy meal. The chef really put his heart into the cooking and the service staff was friendly , attentive n accommodating, Highly recommend this place and will surely come back for more.Thank you for a memorable evening.

Great Western food, good portion and reasonable price. Definitely a hidden GEM. Check it out when you're in town, The taste could surpass some of the better known restaurants and without breaking your bank account. It is a small establishment so if you're planning a visit especially in the weekends, make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended. I especially enjoyed the herb crusted salmon, cooked to perfection, the herb did not overpower the salmon, salmon not overcooked and yet able to maintain a perfectly crispy skin. I don't remember having a better cooked salmon other than the one I had in France. Kudos to the chef. My second favourite was the caesar salad with well balanced sauce, fresh salads and fresh crispy croutons! It was a delight! My companions had the portobello cheese, chicken burger, egg benedict and chicken chop - all well received too. Lastly for dessert the chocolate lava cake - YUM . If I'm at home I would have licked the plate clean. Thank you for making this meal a memorable one for us.
